R200D Paperless Recorder: Compact Industrial Data Recorder with Up to 4 Universal Input Channels
Introduction
The R200D paperless recorder functions as a centralized monitoring tool for multiple process variables. It collects signals from field instruments, converts them into digital values, and displays them on the integrated LCD screen for real-time observation. At the same time, the system stores measurement data in internal flash memory, enabling historical data review and process analysis.
The recorder supports different signal types, including current, voltage, thermocouple, and RTD inputs, allowing various sensors to be connected simultaneously. This universal input design simplifies system configuration and eliminates the need for additional signal converters.
With a sampling interval of up to 1 second, the device can capture and process changes quickly and accurately. Its built-in storage system allows continuous data recording for extended periods, ensuring that important operational information is preserved for future analysis.
In addition to local monitoring, the recorder supports RS232 or RS485 communication using the Modbus protocol, allowing it to be integrated into supervisory control systems for centralized data management.
Working principle
The R200D paperless recorder continuously collects signals from connected sensors and transmitters within an industrial process.
First, analog signals from field instruments, such as 4–20 mA current signals, voltage signals, thermocouple outputs, or RTD resistance signals, are received by the recorder through its universal input channels. These signals represent actual process conditions like temperature, pressure, or flow.
The recorder then processes these signals using internal signal conditioning circuits and analog-to-digital conversion. The converted digital values correspond to real engineering parameters and are displayed on the LCD screen in numerical or graphical formats.
At the same time, the device stores the measurement data in its internal memory at user-defined intervals. Operators can review historical records directly on the instrument or export the data through the USB interface for further analysis.
If process values exceed configured thresholds, the recorder can trigger relay outputs to activate alarms or other control responses. This enables operators to react quickly to abnormal process conditions and maintain safe operation.
