·Easy Installation: Designed for direct in-line installation with common standard NPT 1/2 or NPT 3/4 thread connections, rated for operational pressures up to 4 bar.
Working Principle (Conductive Measurement)
The SUP-TDS6012 water conductivity sensor operates on the principle of ionic conductance. The sensor acts as a precision transducer, converting the fluid’s ability to carry charge into a measurable electrical signal.
An AC potential is continuously applied across the two electrodes, generating an ionic current proportional to the concentration of dissolved salts and minerals.
By using an alternating current, the sensor completely suppresses the polarization effects and corrosion that plague DC measurement. The internal cell constant (K), a precise ratio of the electrode geometry, is used by the analyzer to standardize this ionic current into the final conductivity (Siemens/cm) or TDS value.
Finally, the integrated temperature element corrects this reading for thermal variations, ensuring stability and accuracy.
