Electromagnetic flow Meter Quantitative Control System Debugging

Our engineers came to Dongguan, the city of the “world factory”, and still acted as a service provider. The unit this time is Langyun Naish Metal Technology (China) Co., Ltd., which is a company that mainly produces special metal solutions. I contacted Wu Xiaolei, the manager of their sales department, and briefly chatted with him about his recent work in the office. For the project, the customer wants to realize the function of adding water quantitatively, and the ultimate goal is to control the mixing of materials and water in a certain proportion.

Manager Wu brought me to the site, only to realize that the customer hadn’t started wiring and the tools on site were insufficient, but I brought a full-featured tool kit and started wiring and installation immediately.

Step 1: Install the electromagnetic flow meter. Small-diameter turbines are generally installed with threads. As long as there is an adapter for installation, wrap it with waterproof tape. It should be noted that the installation direction of the flow meter must be consistent with the direction of the arrow.

Step 2: Install the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve needs to be installed about 5 times the pipe diameter behind the flow meter, and the flow must be installed according to the arrow, so as to achieve the control effect;

Step 3: Wiring, mainly the connection between the flow meter, solenoid valve, and the control cabinet. Here, it is necessary to pay attention to the power-off operation, and each connection must be confirmed firmly. The specific wiring method has an explanatory drawing, and you can refer to the wiring.

Step 4: Power on and debug, set parameters, adjust control amount, etc. This step can be divided into two steps. The first is to debug the buttons and equipment. After powering on, test whether the functions of the four buttons are normal, from the left To the right power, start, stop, and clear.

After debugging, it’s time to test. During the test, the customer took me to his other room. The equipment has been installed here. The whole system has been running for a while, but the customer uses the most primitive manual control. Control the switch of the water by pressing the button.

After asking the reason, I found out that the customer’s meter can’t be operated at all, and I don’t know how to look at the cumulative amount. I first checked the parameter settings and found that the flow meter coefficient and medium density are wrong, so the control effect cannot be really achieved at all. After quickly understanding the function that the customer wanted to achieve, the parameters were modified immediately, and each parameter change was introduced to the customer in detail. Manager Wu and the on-site operators also silently recorded it.

After one pass, I demonstrated the effect under automatic control. Controlling 50.0 kg of water, the actual output was 50.2 kg, with an error of four thousandths. Both Manager Wu and the on-site personnel showed happy smiles.

Then the on-site operators also experimented many times, taking three points of 20 kg, 100 kg, and 200 kg respectively, and the results were all good.

Considering the later use problems, Manager Wu and I wrote an operator procedure, mainly including the setting of the control value and the two steps of flow meter error correction. Manager Wu said that this operating standard will also be written into their company’s operator manual in the future as an operating standard for their company.
